My Echolink RF link station consists of a Kenwood TM-V71 dual band transeciver. This radio is interfaced to a very old clunker of a computer (Pentium 4 Windows XP).
The Antenna is a Comet CX-333 tri band vertical mounted on the roof of my home.

I use an operating frequency of 145.540 (151.4PL)
I keep the station on the air 24/7 with some down time when I am using the radio to cross band.
I normally run the Kenwood at full power (50W) and at this power level, I have reliable coverage within 30 miles of my home.
